Avalanche Summary

The few places you can trigger an avalanche are just below ridgelines in wind-drifted pockets where stiffer slabs have formed. You will likely find these in gullies, couloirs, or rock outcroppings above the treeline. If you notice cracking in the snow or find hard or hollow-sounding snow consider moving to a different slope or sticking to slopes less than around 35 degrees steep.

Expect a rise in danger into Saturday if higher snowfall totals pan out.
