Avalanche Summary

Generally safe avalanche conditions exist. The few places you might be able to trigger a dangerous avalanche are high-elevation slopes facing the north half of the compass, where water is reaching dry, weak snow for the first time this season. You can reduce your chances of triggering a wet avalanche by starting and ending your day early. If you notice your feet, skis, or machine sinking deep into wet snow, you should avoid slopes generally steeper than around 40 degrees.
