At the upper elevations dense surface slabs to three feet in depth could be human triggered in steep avalanche prone terrain. Any clear periods will allow the high, Spring sun to rapidly warm snow surfaces and could result in easily triggered or naturally releasing wet-loose slides that will run on a slick rain crust. At the mid elevations isolated pockets of surface slab up to 18 inches deep may be human triggered in very steep avalanche starting zones. At the lower elevations travelers could release isolated pockets of wet-loose slides in very steep areas as the day warms.

Snow is expected to begin falling Wednesday night into Thursday with two to four inches of accumulation possible by Thursday morning and another four to eight inches by Thursday night. Temperatures will be in the teens in the morning at 9,500 feet then warm to near 30 during the day. Winds will be west-southwesterly at 20 to 25 miles per hour along the ridge tops.The General Avalanche Hazard at upper elevations (9,000 to 10,500 feet) is expected to be MODERATE in the morning where slabs to three feet deep could be human triggered on steep lee aspects. Rapid loading and brisk south-southwest winds will develop soft slabs during the day. The hazard may increase to Considerable with the potential for easily triggered soft slabs of increasing depth resting on slick sun crusts. The avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW at the mid and lower elevations where isolated pockets of wet-loose slides cloud be triggered in very steep terrain.
