Highlights

There will be no change in the Avalanche danger as we move from Saturday into Sunday.  Avalanches are unlikely on Sunday.  Variable snow surfaces and challenging riding conditions might be a greater hazard than avalanches.  Nonetheless, continue to practice good travel techniques like traveling one at a time in avalanche terrain.

Avalanche Discussion

We're in a bit of a "Goldilocks" zone for avalanche hazard.  We haven't had enough snow or wind recently to create avalanche characters that we might associate with stormy weather.  Although it's sunny and clear, the cold temperatures are preventing substantial melting and I don't anticipate Wet avalanches.  Sadly, the riding conditions are somewhat less than "Goldilocks" with not a lot of soft snow.  Hopefully the crisp, beautiful winter weather makes up for this lack of soft snow... good conditions for sightseeing and exploring.
