Fresh drifts and wind slabs scattered all over the place in the higher terrain could crack out on a person.

    Wind drifted snow is really your only concern today. You'll find various drifts, slabs, crusts scattered about in the higher terrain. Most of these will be stubborn at this point and won't crack out. That said, if you're looking for an avalanche to release today, very steep slopes with recent deposits of wind drifted snow is where a person could trigger something.

Snow and Weather

Current Conditions: Despite some moderate speed wind from the northeast recently, riding conditions remain quite good in many areas. Wind is now from the west with moderate speeds along the higher terrain and pretty light speeds elsewhere. Temperatures briefly got near 20˚F on Monday and dropped back to around 10˚F overnight.

Mountain Weather: Cloud cover is tricky today. There's enough low level moisture to keep clouds hanging around the mountains. However, this could be hit and miss and we may see some sun. Temperatures will be in the mid teens. Wind from the west will start to increase throughout the day and be pretty strong by later on. There's a chance for some minor amounts of new snow tonight but no significant storms are expected for the rest of the week.
