If you observe the surface snow forming roller balls, pinwheels, it's time to consider simpler terrain. Avoid traveling under steep slopes > 35 degrees, especially if they end in terrain traps or other exposed locations.
Today we will see highs in the 30s -40s with rain and snow starting around 11:00 am. Temperatures will start to decrease later this afternoon and freezing levels will drop from 5500' to 1000' this evening. The winds will move from the south to the north northwest and increase in intensity.
