Nowcast Take advantage of the sunny skies and dry trails while you can! A change in the pattern is on the way as unsettled weather makes way into the region ahead of a significant winter storm.

Forecast A warm, southwesterly flow ushers the storm in Saturday afternoon into the evening. Expect accumulating mountain snow at upper elevations by late Saturday, and valley accumulations by Sunday morning. There is some uncertainty, but we could see 8-12" of snow with 0.75-1.25" of water at upper elevations by Monday morning.

Futurecast Fixed on mid-week, an additional storm system moves in late Tuesday through Wednesday. Things shift to the north, bringing cooler temperatures and additional mountain snowfall accumulations. We will keep you updated as things progress with both storms!

A look at and above the treeline near Mt. Watson reveals little to no snow around the compass up to 11,000'. A few lingering patches of snow hang around on higher elevations of the shady, northerly facing slopes, but nothing of much concern heading into this weekend's storm.
