Weather Forecast
The cold is here for at least another day. Tuesday morning will start off with a temperature of -28c and suppose to warm up to -21c to -24c. Winds will be 25-35km/hr from the NW, along with light flurries.
Avalanche Summary
-33c on the Spray road today. The skies were clear so we had a good look around on our road patrol and did not see any new activity.Â
Snowpack Summary
Christmas gave us 10cm of snow along with localized winds at tree line and in the alpine. Expect to find some soft slabs along ridges and cross loaded features. Approach larger slopes with caution and take the time to evaluate what the winds have done. Â
Terrain and Travel
- Watch for newly formed and reactive wind slabs as you transition into wind affected terrain.
