Gliding snow represents the main danger. In the course of the day small wind slabs will form at elevated altitudes.

On steep grassy slopes individual gliding avalanches are possible, in particular medium-sized ones. Areas with glide cracks are to be avoided.

Snowpack Structure

Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be quite good over a wide area. The old snowpack will be moist below approximately 2400 m. Over a wide area 5 to 10 cm of snow will fall above approximately 1500 m. The wind will be moderate to strong.
