Forecast Snow Stability: The greatest deposits of snow will remain on high North to East aspects. The snowpack will firm up slightly overnight. Through the day it will continue to thaw and consolidate. Stability will be generally good throughout. Remaining sections of cornice will be prone to collapse. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Forecast Weather Influences: It will remain dry and clear. The freezing level will remain above the summits. Winds will be from the South-West. Observed Weather Influences: A dry day; cloudy in the morning, clearing up with long sunny spells during the afternoon. Mild with the freezing level well above the summits. ObservedSnowStability: The spring snowpack continues to thaw and consolidate. Stability is generally good. A few sections of cornice remain on some of the higher peaks, these are slumping and prone to collapse in the mild conditions. The avalanche hazard is Low.
