Moist and wet avalanches are the main danger.
Moist and wet avalanches are the main danger.
Especially on very steep grassy slopes mostly small moist and wet avalanches are possible above approximately 1800 m.
The snowpack will be subject to considerable local variations. The older wind slabs are to be found especially adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls and generally at high altitudes. The spring-like weather conditions will give rise to thorough wetting of the snowpack.
