Avalanche Activity

The new snow and wind slabs can be released easily or naturally above the tree line.

In all aspects small and medium-sized avalanches are possible. The avalanche prone locations are to be found at the base of rock walls and behind abrupt changes in the terrain and adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls.

Snowpack Structure

30 to 50 cm of snow has fallen above approximately 1200 m. New snow to above 900 m. The new snow and wind slabs remain in some cases prone to triggering. The fresh wind slabs are barely recognisable because of the poor visibility.

Tendency

In some localities light snowfall at intermediate altitudes. The weather conditions will facilitate a gradual change towards better conditions.
