Regions

Chic-Choc Mountains.

Most of the territory remains below the threshold for avalanche formation. However, a few isolated wind slabs may form in areas of maximum accumulation, such as ravines and couloirs. With numerous obstacles not buried, skiing remains very risky.

If you head into the backcountry, thanks for sharing your observations on the Mountain Information Network (MIN).

Snowpack Summary

The snowpack depth varies between 30 and 60 cm. Accumulations may be greater in couloirs and depressions and in areas of maximum loading. There is between 15 and 30 cm of light snow on the surface, available for transport, which may settle as wind slabs on leeward slopes.
