Avalanche Summary

Weak, collapsible layers of snow are buried 2 to 4 feet deep on easterly slopes. You may not get any signs of unstable snow before triggering a large and dangerous avalanche. You will either have to dig down and carefully evaluate deeply buried weak layers, or more simply, avoid steep easterly-facing slopes.

Also, keep an eye out for warming snow on Saturday. If you see rollerballing in the surface snow, stay off and out from underneath slopes of a similar aspect.
