There isn't much snow in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains still and conditions are generally safe. Use care in high-elevation north, northeast, and east-facing areas, especially just below ridgelines and around couloirs and concave areas that catch and hold wind-drifted snow. Although unlikely, you may be able to trigger small avalanches in these areas.
