Avalanche conditions are generally safe. Although avalanches are unlikely, check upper elevation north and northeast-facing slopes for deeper deposits of wind-drifted snow. These areas were the slowest to stabilize after recent storms and remain the slopes where you might still trigger a small slide. A small avalanche can be dangerous when combined with terrain traps such as a cliff, rocks, gullies, or dense trees below a steep slope.
