Avalanche Summary

Most slopes are generally safe from avalanches. However, if you notice your feet, skis, or machine sinking more than a foot deep into wet, slushy snow, consider avoiding slopes steeper than about 40 degrees to reduce your chances of triggering a small wet avalanche. The easiest way to avoid wet avalanche problems on Thursday is to start and end your day early.
