Avalanche Summary

Be cautious in areas where you find clean, white snow in steep terrain. On north through east to south aspects, these areas could be drifts of new snow that may crack and collapse when you step onto them. If you find dense slabs work around them or avoid steep slopes.

On sunny aspects, clean, white snow could peel off the mountainside in sheets if the day heats up. These can easily release at your feet and could run naturally, so pay attention to the slopes above you that may be heating up. If you feel intense sun and see warning signs like roller balls head to cooler slopes.
