Avalanche Summary
Recent snow and wind have created thin slabs. Be careful where you find pillows of rounded snow deeper than about six inches. This problem is possible on northerly and easterly slopes where old snow lingers. Steep gullies and below ridgelines are the most likely areas to find this problematic setup, which are also the most tempting slopes to travel on. If you find cracking in the new snow, head to slopes sheltered from the wind or lower-angled slopes.
