Avalanche Summary

You could trigger a small avalanche where new snow sits above buried weak layers on north and northeast alpine slopes. These are the slopes where new snow may be forming a slab over previously drifted or faceted snow.

Look for cracking or collapsing in the recent snow. Avoid steep slopes if you observe these signs of instability. Avalanches are still small, but could create an unfortunate ride through rocks with our current shallow conditions.
