Highlights
Soft slabs up to two feet in depth exist and lie upon a variety of good sliding surfaces which include a well developed weak layer of buried surface hoar. These surface slabs could be human triggered especially on steep wind loaded aspects. Backcountry travellers should avoid avalanche prone areas, steep gullies and be aware of terrain traps.
