Highlights
At mid and upper elevations DANGEROUS unstable slabs up to three feet in depth lie upon persistant weak layers of faceted snow and good sliding surfaces. Increasing ridgetop winds are loading avalanche starting zones. A snowboarder recently triggered an 18 inch deep slab on a northerly aspect in the Four Pines area of the Southern Tetons. Similar events are likely to be easily triggered today and could run full path. At the lower elevations avalanches are unlikley.
