Soft slabs up to four feet in depth formed by strong southwest winds exist at the mid and upper elevations. These slabs could be triggered by skiers or riders who venture onto steep avalanche prone slopes. In addition loose snow sluffs could release naturaly on very steep sunlit aspects or be triggered by humans on very steep sheltered slopes. Mostly stable snow exists at the lower elevations.

Southwesterly flow aloft will continue to bring light snowfall overnight before a weak weather system slides down from the Pacific Northwest on Monday bringing an additional two to four inches of new snow during the day. Overnight lows in the mountains will be in the single digits before rising to near 20 on Monday. Southerly rdgetop winds will veer westerly at 10 to 15 miles per hour.The general avalanche hazard is expected to remain MODERATE on Monday above 7,500 feet. Soft slabs one to three in depth could be triggered by backcountry travelers venturing into steep, avalanche-prone terrain. Below 7,500 feet, the general avalanche hazard is expected to LOW and avalanches are unlikely.
