Snow depths range from 10 to 18 inches above an elevation of 8,500 feet where the general avalanche hazard is LOW. The snow is mostly stable, however caution is advised in steep terrain as even a small slab avalanche can cause serious injury in these early season conditions. Snow cover tapers to depths of less than six inches and areas of bare ground at the lower elevations.

Temperatures are expected to become inverted with overnight lows in the single digits in the coldest valley locations. Daytime highs will rise into the 20s and 30s at all elevations. Winds will be light at less than 15 miles per hour and back from the west to the south.At the upper elevations small, isolated pockets of wind slab up to a foot in depth could be sensitive to human triggers in very steep terrain.
