Highlights

Pockets of soft slab up to 18 inches in depth formed by west winds exist in some upper elevation starting zones. These slabs lie upon slick crusts and have been easily triggered by skiers on steep wind loaded aspects. Shallower isolated pockets of soft slab could be triggered in very steep mid elevation starting zones. Avalanches are unlikely at the lower elevations.
