Forecast Snow Stability: There will be a thin covering of soft stable snow above around 800 metres. This will rapidly thaw as precipitation turns to rain from mid morning. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Showers will fall as snow above around 700 metres overnight before easing for a spell very early morning. Showers will then return, turning to rain at all levels from around mid morning as the freezing level rises above the summits. Winds will be fresh Westerly overnight becoming South-westerly during the day and increasing to gale force. Observed Weather Influences: Showers throughout the day were often heavy and fell as snow above around 700 metres. Very strong West to North-Westerly winds. The freezing level rose to around 900 metres. ObservedSnowStability: There is a very thin covering of stable snow on bare ground above around 850 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
