In the late morning as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation there will be a significant increase in the danger of moist and wet avalanches.
On very steep sunny slopes and at low and intermediate altitudes medium-sized and, in isolated cases, large moist and wet avalanches are possible as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation. In starting zones where no previous releases have taken place large natural avalanches, capable of reaching a long way in some cases, must be expected in isolated cases. Steep slopes high altitudes and the high Alpine regions: The older wind slabs can be released, especially by large additional loads,. Mostly the avalanches in these loacations are medium-sized. Caution is to be exercised in particular at transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack, as well as at the base of rock walls and behind abrupt changes in the terrain. Backcountry tours should be started and concluded early.
In these regions above approximately 1300 m a lot of snow is lying for the time of year. The surface of the snowpack has frozen to form a strong crust and will soften quickly. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface. The spring-like weather conditions from the early morning will give rise to rapid moistening of the snowpack in particular on sunny slopes below approximately 2500 m. Isolated medium-sized natural moist avalanches are possible in starting zones where no previous releases have taken place.
