Low avalanche danger.

The avalanche risk is assessed as low. Due to the rising temperatures during the daytime changes, small wet and gliding sluffs cannot be ruled out in steep gullies and on embankments.

The wind slab is already well stabilised. As the temperature rises, the moisture in the snowpack increases. In the Bucklige Welt and on the Hochwechsel there is only a little snow below 1200 metres. In the Gutenstein Alps, the hills up to 1000 metres are already mostly bare.

The evening and night will be free of precipitation. Towards the morning, however, increasingly dense clouds from a warm front will move in from the north-west. On Holy Saturday, many clouds and occasional rain are to be expected in the Lower Austrian mountains. In the eastern mountain ranges, however, it will remain mostly free of precipitation. It will hardly soften up, the higher peaks will repeatedly be covered in fog and visibility will be limited. The temperature at an altitude of 1500 metres will rise to +3 degrees. Strong to gale-force winds with gusts of between 50 and 80 km/h in exposed areas.

Easter Sunday will be mild mountain weather with plenty of sunshine and little wind. The avalanche risk remains low.
