Individual avalanche prone locations are to be found especially on steep shady slopes at high altitude. As a consequence of a sometimes strong bise wind, avalanche prone wind slabs formed on Thursday above the tree line. In particular places where weaknesses exist in the old snowpack are especially dangerous. The high temperatures as the day progresses will give rise to rapid moistening of the snowpack in particular at low and intermediate altitudes. Individual natural avalanches are possible.
