Avalanche Activity

Wind slabs and wet snow represent the main danger.

In the vicinity of peaks a dangerous avalanche situation will be encountered in some localities. The wind slabs are easy to recognise and can be released easily. Avalanches can penetrate down to the ground and reach medium size in some cases.

Snowpack Structure

The solar radiation will give rise as the day progresses to rapid moistening of the snowpack.
