    • All elevations

Avalanche Activity

In all aspects a favourable avalanche situation will prevail.

As the temperature drops there will be only a slight decrease in the danger of moist and wet avalanches on Friday. The small quantity of fresh snow and isolated small wind slabs can be released in isolated cases, but mostly only by large additional loads, in particular on extremely steep, little used shady slopes above approximately 2400 m. In some localities a little new snow: The avalanche danger will persist.

Snowpack Structure

In areas where the snow cover is rather shallow and on very steep sunny slopes the snowpack will soften rapidly. The old snowpack will be well bonded on steep sunny slopes. Faceted weak layers exist in the snowpack on north, northeast and northwest facing slopes. Hardly any more avalanches were reported. Less snow than usual is lying. In particular on sunny slopes from a snow sport perspective, insufficient snow is lying.

Tendency

The avalanche danger will persist.
