watch for blowing snow. Light snow and moderate to strong winds will likely form new wind slabs in exposed terrain.
Monday night: Light flurries bringing up to 5 cm of new snow with moderate to strong southwest winds. Low of -4 at 1100m.
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with flurries bringing up to 5 cm of new snow with moderate southwest winds. Freezing level rising to 1000 m.
Wednesday: Cloudy with flurries bringing up to 5 cm of new snow with light to moderate southwest winds. Freezing level rising to 1100 m.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy with light flurries bringing trace amounts of new snow with moderate southwest winds. Low of -3 at 1100 m.
No new avalanches were reported on Sunday.
On Friday ski cutting produced wind slab avalanches up to size 1.5. Several wet loose avalanches to size 1.5 were also observed, these avalanches were on steep low elevation features.
New wind slabs will likely form in exposed terrain . Moist snow could be observed at lower elevations.
A couple of sun crusts exist in the upper snowpack but none have been identified as layers of particular concern. The lower snowpack is thought to be well settled.
