Forecast Snow Stability: The older existing snowpack will refreeze overnight remaining stable and well bonded. Later, unstable windslab will begin to develop on steep slopes on North to East aspects above 750 metres. Areas most affected will be coire rims, gully tops and scarp slopes. Cornices will build on these aspects. On other aspects, some new snow will be lying on bare ground. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: Overnight gale force South-South-Easterly winds will veer and decrease abruptly in strength to become fresh South-Westerlies from around midday. Initial summit snow will ease for a few hours then become heavier during daylight hours. The freezing level will be around 800 metres dropping to 600 metres. Observed Weather Influences: It has been a dry and sunny day with strong South-Easterly winds. The Freezing level was around 700 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack refroze overnight leaving it well bonded and stable throughout. Where exposed to direct sunlight surface softening has taken place. Greatest amounts of snow can be found on North through East to South-East aspects above 750 metres. Below this height the snowpack is limited. The avalanche hazard is Low.
