Forecast Snow Stability: The dusting of new snow will gradually thaw at all levels through the day, the snowline rising to near summit level by the end of the period. Otherwise, the patches of older snow will be well consolidated and stable throughout, softening at lower elevations, but remaining firm around the summits. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: It will be a largely dry and cloudy day. The cloud may be thick enough at times to give some patchy drizzle. The wind will be generally Westerly, freshening through the day. Overnight, the freezing level will steadily rise to, and remain at, summit level or above. Observed Weather Influences: Slow moving isolated showers, wintry above 550 metres, petered out through the afternoon. There was a moderate to fresh North-West wind and the freezing level steadily rose to around 650 metres by the afternoon. ObservedSnowStability: There is an overall dusting of new snow on all aspects mostly above 650 metres, where slightly deeper accumulations have developed on high sheltered North-East to South-East aspects. The patches of older snow are well consolidated, firm and stable throughout. The avalanche hazard is Low.
