A weather pattern change is happening. A small amount of new snow today won't bump the avalanche danger much. Overall, the danger remains LOW on the Manti Skyline. Human-triggered avalanches are unlikely today.
Snow and Weather
General Conditions: Wow, we actually picked up a trace of snow overnight. This won't do much to improve the riding conditions. Lipstick on a pig. Temperatures are in the low 20s and the wind is light from the southwest.
Mountain Weather: A storm system off the California coast will feed moisture into our area through Wednesday night. Today, anticipate clouds and periods of light snowfall that won't add up to much. Wind will be light to moderate in speed from the southwest today, increasing later this afternoon and evening. The better chance for snow will be Wednesday and especially Wednesday night. All said and done, we could see 4 to 8 inches of new snow by Thursday morning.
