Surfaces will soften quickly this morning as the sun comes out and temperatures rise. Wet loose activity will be possible today on all aspects. Coverage has become more limited at lower elevations and on solar aspects over the past few weeks of very warm temperatures. Areas of greatest concern will be near and above treeline on SE-N-NW aspects. The best way to minimize exposure to this hazard will be to start and end your tour early. Unsupportable wet snow, rollerballs, and recent avalanches indicate that surface snow is already too wet, and it’s time to move to slopes with lower slope angles and minimal overhead hazards.
