The General Avalanche Hazard is MODERATE. Overnight lows hovered near freezing and temporarily increased stability. The hazard will raise proportional to the amount of heat and sun absorbed by the snowpack during the day. Daily warming and sunshine will continue to melt the upper snowpack resulting in wet, loose surface slides, along with the possibility of deeper wet slabs. Avoid steep ravines and road cuts where even small wet slides can be dangerous.
