Avalanche Summary

The combination of strong winds and recent snowfall means you could trigger avalanches. The most dangerous slopes are where winds drifted snow into a cohesive slab on top of weak snow. Drifted snow may feel stiff or crack under your weight. The most dangerous slopes face north to northeast through east, but you may find reactive drifts on other slopes. If you see shooting cracks or feel collapsing, you can choose safer terrain by moving to slopes less than about 35 degrees in steepness.
