Highlights
New snow from the last several days rests on loose surface hoar or, on southern aspects, on slippery sun crusts. Skier triggered slabs to 18 inches in depth are possible in areas with slab development due to prevailing winds. Loose snow sloughs are possible on steeper terrain unaffected by wind. These sloughs are dangerous on slopes with terrain traps. The old deep slab weaknesses (3-5 feet down) persist and could aslo be triggered by skiers, boarders or snowmobilers.
