Avalanche Summary

New snow and strong southwest winds increase the chances of avalanches in drifted snow above treeline. The most dangerous areas will be very steep leeward slopes and rocky cross-loaded couloirs, where a small slab could wipe you off your feet and take you for a nasty ride. Look for and avoid obvious drifts, especially if traveling in extreme terrain.

Researchers Ian McCammon and Sara Boilen are developing new tools for managing human factors for backcountry skiers and boarders. This survey asks about personal experiences with human factors and will take 7 - 8 minutes to fill out. Link is HERE. Thank you for your help!
