Avalanche Summary

It might be harder to trigger an avalanche that breaks deep in the snowpack, but that doesn't mean the problem has gone away. The structure is still concerning on many steep shady slopes on the north half of the mountain.

A blustery storm with strong winds and new snow will build fresh slabs on leeward easterly-facing slopes. These should be small and easy to manage, but use caution if you find more than a foot of drifted snow. Even a small avalanche can be dangerous if it pushes you into a nasty terrain trap.
