Many slopes are safe from avalanches. However, continued sunny and warm weather increases the chance of triggering a wet avalanche later in the day. Wet avalanches will be small but could become more dangerous in rocky consequential terrain.
Travel early in the day for better snow conditions and to stay ahead of the day's wet avalanche concerns. As temperatures climb each day and overnight freezes weaken, we may see buried supportable crusts break down, allowing you to punch deeper in the snowpack and affect more snow. Avoid travel on steep slopes if you find yourself sinking into wet snow.
