Pockets of slab up to 18 inches in depth persist along ridgelines and cross loaded slopes at the upper elevations. These slabs could be triggered by backcountry travelers venturing into steep, wind-loaded avalanche terrain. Mostly stable snow exists at the mid and lower elevations.

As a trough of low pressure over the Pacific Northwest approaches the area, snow showers are expected to develop Tuesday night and continue through Wednesday. High temperatures in the mid twenties are expected at higher elevations while lower elevations reach the mid thirties. Light winds are expected throughout the day.The General Avalanche Danger for the three forecast areas is expected to be LOW. Isolated pockets of surface slabs to one foot in depth could be human triggered on steep wind loaded slopes near exposed ridges above 9000 feet. If prolonged periods of sunlight and significant warming occur the sensitivity of these slabs will increase and wet loose slides will become possible at all elevations.
