Highlights
The General Avalanche Hazard remains MODERATE. The possibility continues for snowmobilers and skiers to trigger full depth avalanches in steep avalanche terrain involving a weak faceted layer of snow that persists at the base of the snowpack. These avalanches are hard to predict as the snow surface can support significant traffic before the snow fails. Isolated pockets of soft, shallow surface slabs could also be triggered in the new snow.
