Avalanche Summary

A small amount of new snow is not enough to increase the avalanche danger, and most slopes are free from avalanches due to a shallow and weak snowpack. If you were to trigger a small slide, it would be in an area of freshly drifted snow on a steep slope at upper elevations. Any avalanches triggered in the wind-drifted snow will be small and isolated.
