Avalanche Summary

Wind-drifted slopes below ridges and cross-loaded features facing northwest through north to east-facing slopes at upper elevations are the most likely places to trigger an avalanche. These will generally be small, but will ramp up in consequence where you find a snowpack deeper than about 2 feet. Look for soft snow on lower-angle slopes as a safer option.
