Gradual increase in danger of dry and wet avalanches as a consequence of warming during the day.
A clear night will be followed in the early morning by quite favourable conditions generally. As a consequence of warming and solar radiation, the natural avalanche activity will increase. An increasing number of small and medium-sized dry and wet avalanches are to be expected. The wind slabs of the last two days are to be evaluated with care and prudence in particular in very steep terrain. The Avalanche Warning Service currently has only a small amount of information that has been collected in the high Alpine regions, so that the avalanche danger should be investigated especially thoroughly in the relevant locality.
The new snow of the last two days has settled to a large extent below approximately 2500 m. The covering of new snow is moist and its surface has a crust that is barely capable of bearing a load. From late morning the weather will be mostly sunny. Sunshine and high temperatures will give rise as the day progresses to increasing moistening of the snowpack in some cases.
