About a foot of new snow and strong winds from the southwest and west will build another round of wind-drifted slabs on northwest through east to south-facing slopes. You'll be able to easily trigger avalanches as the wind is transporting snow. Avalanches on Thursday will grow large enough to bury you. Avoid steep slopes where you see active snow drifting, see bulbous pillows of recently drifted snow, or observe shooting cracks in the snow.
