Avalanche Summary

A potent storm dropped a lot of snow quickly. You can easily trigger a slab avalanche where strong westerly winds drift snow onto steep north and east-facing slopes at upper elevations. In continuously steep, wind-sheltered terrain, you can trigger long-running loose avalanches. Expect loose avalanches to quickly transition from dry to wet on any sunny slopes or where you encounter unfrozen snow at lower elevations.
