Backcountry riders or skiers could trigger pockets of surface slab to two feet in depth in steep, wind loaded terrain at the mid and upper elevations. In a few areas of very steep terrain, larger loads, such as snowmachines, still have a slight potential to trigger hard slabs up to six feet in depth. These hazards will increase on steep, sun-affected aspects as the day warms. Avalanches are unlikely at lower elevations.

High pressure and temperature inversions are expected to continue through Thursday before clouds increase in the evening. Winds are to be ten to fifteen mile per hour from the Southwest and mountain temperatures are to reach the thirties. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be Moderate. Isolated pockets of surface slabs to two feet could be human triggered in steep terrain and cliff areas. On a few very steep avalanche paths, the potential continues for larger loads such as snow machines or groups to trigger deep hard slabs to the base of the snowpack.
